More Christmas...more like a slide show...2

A little out of order but this was also the day we went sledding with the ice covering all the trees.

This is just to give you an idea of how much snow. this is regular size bench. Snow went right up to the seat.


Mom this is for you...I mean Wendy. Sharon just so you know the story.. Mom sent us a Christmas card and she has me married to Bruce ..... so Cowboy would like to make sure there are no more misunderstandings or confusing on who married Michelle...Oh and Bruce I volunteered your snow shoveling services. You were expected to shovel mom's house.. I told mom that i would send you....
and yes that is the family eggnog we are drinking...yummmmmmmmmmmy!!!

More Christmas...more like a slide show...

I wanted some nice pics of the guys from Christmas Eve. So I made them pose and smile just right. For Shawn it took 4-5 tries before I had an acceptable pose and smile..


Alex was like a pro. All pic were good. Probably because he saw what Shawn was going through .. chin down, no no up. look towards the wall, no no no look over your shoulder no no no..

Here we are doing the dishes..... they still need lots of practice..See and you thought they were wearing the same shirt....Shame on you for thinking that....

Christmas(after editing)

We decided to open gifts on Christmas eve. I had all the gifts wrapped under the tree since the beginning of December( yes you heard me right, I was ready, wrapped and done by the first week of December....FIRST TIME EVER!!!)
So the boys had a few week to strategically plan their attack of the gifts. Mom had her own strategies going on. he he he

Christmas Eve came and we had a very nice dinner of ham and mashed potatoes. I didn't want to just dive into gift opening just yet. So me being the wiz at coming up with outrageously great ideas to torture my kids with, decided that I would like Alex and Shawn to each sing me a Christmas Carol before opening each gift.
Alex sang Frosty the Snowman as his first selection. Shawn choose the 12 days of Christmas but after the third day, he couldn't remember anymore so he then sang Frosty also.
They were the only songs the boys had to sing, or knew the words too... it was a toss up on what was more torturous, listening or singing..

Alex opted for the biggest heaviest gift. I had packed it in a Dell box and since this was a tool box with all the tools in it, it was very heavy . Never know what Santa will bring you..

Shawn following suit, opened the biggest and heaviest gift. WOW!! another tool box with tools!!! NO WAY!!!!
We purchased two separate brands of really good tools, so if someone leaves them out, I know who it was and i also get a new tool!!! BRILLIANT!!!

The First snow and then the real First snow

The day we went sledding , the trees were absolutely beautiful. I have a millions pic of the ice on the trees but I think this was one of the nicest ones.



On December 19, we had our BIG snow.. 10 inches on Friday and 6 on Sunday. This is just a pic of the neighbors shed. It looks so nice in the falling snow. This was around 2-3 in the afternoon and the snow had just started to fall. I have more pic , but I haven't sent them to me at work yet to post so this is the only one i have right now. It was so quite . Winter Wonderland!!

Merry Christmas everyone... we are having technical difficulties with our blog so I am doing this from work.... So Sharon you have to deal with bad grammar and terrible spelling...(FIXED)

I received a new camera for the holidays and have been getting all kinds of good pic. So i will start with our first snow(mostly ice but everything was white).



Here's my absolutely sexy husband, looking on and thinking "What a bunch of retards, and where did I put that liquor"!!!!


We went to the preserve by our house and the kids tested out their sledding skills and my ability to take action shots without getting run over. Cowboy was my body guard. He was responsible to pull me out of the way of the fast moving kids. He did very well. I had not a scratch or bruise on me by the end of this day.


Here is Shawn. I had a lot of facial expressions from Shawn on all his runs down. This was the least embarrassing one. All the others he was rolling around on the snow....We think he just likes to lay on the snow and roll around more then use the sled....




Brotherly love..... and the fight for the hill. This one ended badly. Both in the tree, Shawn has nice bruise in his chest. Well we think its his chest, not real sure if he has a chest yet... However he did roll around after he ran into the tree, still not sure if it was because of pain or as stated above he just likes rolling around....



This is Alex. Getting some lift but he always had his hands down. So you can't tell he is a little airborn. Either that or he is praying for the ride to stop....



Here is the youngster of our clan (Jarod). He was the only one who listened and held on to the sled and got the most air. This was pre injury picture. He received a battle scar to on his check from a tree too.

First road trip with my new toy... ;)

Cowboy and I went for a road trip in October after I received my new camera. We just traveled up to VT . It was a drizzly day, but it was good to get out for a ride. Here we stopped at a river bank in between VT and NY so i could play.. I think this is a very nice pic and you also get the feel of the lazy rainy day.... Thanks Cowboy... you are such a sport.. xoxoxo

All that is missing is the turkey, oh wait there it is....

This is what we look like before we eat(if we can get the damn picture in the right spot). There got it in the correct spot...Good thing we were to stuffed to take a picture AFTER dinner. Well no worries the boys ate the chocolate pie Michelle made, and I mean all of it...Pecan and Lemon Merange pie didnt go as fast but it was sooooooooo much better.....

Why Michelle WONT cook the Thanksgiving Turkey

Here is a turkey recipe that Michelle found.
When I found this recipe, I thought it was
perfect for people like me, who just are not sure how to tell when poultry
is thoroughly cooked, but not dried out.

Give this a try !

8 - 15 lb. turkey
1 cup melted butter
1 cup stuffing (Pepperidge Farm is Good.)
1 cup uncooked popcorn (ORVILLE REDENBACHER'S LOW FAT)
Salt/pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush turkey well with melted butter salt, and
pepper. Fill cavity with stuffing and popcorn. Place in baking pan with the
neck end toward the back of the oven.

Listen for the popping sounds. When the turkey's ass blows the oven door open and the bird flies across the room, it's done.

And, you thought I didn't cook...

See the witchy woman and no costume, I on the other had worked up my magic with a nice scar and some blood...We had a great night scaring everyone that came for candy... Some people said we were the best place to go in the area because nobody was doing anything like this....I told them "what are you talking about she is NOT in costume she ALWAYS looks this way, that's why I have a scar..."



So what do you think, is my hair the same color as the Buteo auguralis (redneck) buzzard? I don't know.. I might have to change it...

This may be one of the last fires we have outside in the pit. It was a nice nite, however Michelle was saying it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cold.....lol....Oh grow up....lol.....

Just a little bit of the Scary season that we work on....Yes those are REAL grave sites, one for each of the three boys that stay with us....LOL...We told them that if they don't behave they will end up there.....



The front yard looks great, now we just have to wait until the big night and put out the fog machine. We have the spooky sounds already in the ipod....

( fyi she asked me how to spell it !!!)( and still didn't listen)...The day is Sunday the 21st and Jarod, Michelle and I went to the Diabetes walk to support Cody. It was a nice day as they all have been since I have been going... The shirt is a gift from Michelle...Game over....lol......

Here we are picking apples, well ok I'm the one picking the boys are eating them and trying to catch the bird!!!! I had a bird for them for sure, but that's another story...lol....and as the norm Michelle is taking pictures. Soon people are going to ask me if there really is a Michelle cause she is never in any pictures...








Doesn't Shawn look like he just bit into something awful....lol....See Shawn apples do grow on trees and not in stores...

Alex is trying to get away with something, that's "the look" that he always uses when he is trying....He has no idea that Michelle and I are star pupils on "the look". Oh well he may learn someday.
Good thing its a rooster and not a chicken, that way none of the boys tried to "choke it"...lol
